Men's Tennis Takes On Portland State On the Road

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (0-3, 0-1 Big West) heads to California for their first team roadtrip of the season. The Rainbow Warriors will play a pair of matches while in Stockton, Calif., starting with Portland State (1-3, 1-1 Big Sky) on Sunday, February 5 at 1:00 pm at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. Hawai'i will stay in Stockton to face Pacific later in next week.
 
Felix Albert and Igor Kolaric both lead Hawai'i in singles with 1-2 records in dual matches. Albert has played all three duals on the No. 1 court with Kolaric all at No. 2. In doubles, Overall Chris Cajigan and Kolaric come into this week with a 2-3 record while Marcel Chan and Eric Kenneth also at 2-3.
 
Portland State enters this week with a 1-3 dual match record but have also competed in four tournaments as well thus far. Leading the way for the Vikings is Nathan Boniel with a 12-6 overall record and 2-2 dual match mark. On the No. 1 court. Tommy Edwards is second on the team with an 8-5 overall record while going 3-1 in dual matches. In doubles, Boniel and Edwards have been the most dominant  Portland State duo with an 8-4 record.
