HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swimming and diving teams will be in action this week with a men's dual meet between the Rainbow Warriors and Dartmouth, and a women's meet featuring Hawai'i, Dartmouth, UCLA and Oregon State.
The action begins at 12:00 p.m. on Dec. 18 at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex.
Sunday's meet will bring some familiar faces to DKAC. Former UH associate head coach and first-year Oregon State head coach Jennifer Buffin will return to Hawai'i where she coached from 2006-2016. It will also be the second time the UH women see UCLA this season, as the Bruins and Rainbow Wahine both competed at the A3 Performance Invitational Nov. 17-19.
Hawai'i is coming off the A3 Performance Swimming Invitational last month where the men's and women's swim teams combined to break four school records. Meanwhile, the men's and women's diving teams competed at the Texas Diving Invitational where
Johan Sandell compiled the program's No. 3 3-meter score and
Madison Sthamann had Hawai'i's fifth-best platform score.
Sunday's meet will be Hawai'i's final competition before the calendar turns to 2017. The Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine return to action to host the Wally Nakamoto Hawai'i Diving Invite Jan. 5 and 6, and welcome Minnesota and Drury for a meet Jan. 7.
