HONOLULU - Three members of the University of Hawai`i mens' volleyball team earned 2015 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Scholar-Athlete Honors, as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon. The requirements were a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average accompanied by having participated in at least fifty percent or more of the institution's competitions as well as be at least at a sophomore standing academically.

Kupono Fey and
Sinisa Zarkovic were the three Rainbow Warriors to earn All-Academic nods for the 2015 season. Averill, the All-American middle-blocker who also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors earlier this month and was named the UH Jack Bonham award winner, graduated with a degree in Sociology.
In his first year of eligibility for All-Academic status, sophomore Fey earned his first MPSF conference award of his career. The starting outside hiter wrapped up the season hitting three of the last five matches in double-figure kills . Fey, a 2013 Punahou graduate, is currently pursuing an engineering degree at UH.
Junior Zarkovic was named All-Academic MPSF for the second time in his career. The native of Belgrade, Serbia started 25 matches at outside hitter and finished the season with 291 kills (3.20 K/S) and 133 digs (1.46 D/S), rounding off the season going four-straight matches with double-figure kills towards a total of 16 on the year. Zarkovic additionally earned his first AVCA All-American Honorable Mention nod and also was named to the All-MPSF Second-Team.
