Danika Kotylak combining for an unanswered five-point advantage in the first quarter

The Rainbow Wahine exploded in the second half, adding on seven more unanswered goals for a 12-0 lead going into halftime. Claremont finally scored in the last 22 seconds of the third quarter and again at the end of the fourth, but it wasn't enough to keep up with UH.
After dishing out six more goals in the final period, the Rainbow Wahine defeated the Athenas in a landslide 21-2.
UH continues its road-stand on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the UC Irvine Invitational. The Rainbow Wahine will make their eighth-straight appearance at the UC Irvine Invitational this year, opening play against No. 11 UC San Diego, Feb. 21 at 9:15 a.m. PT. at the Corona del Mar High School Pool. The match-up will be a repeat of the tournament-opener last season, where UH fell by just one point in overtime. However, UH leads the all-time series against the Tritons 17-3 and defeated them 9-6 in their last meeting on Mar. 8, 2014.
