INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Chas Okamoto rallied to win at three singles and lift the University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior tennis team to a 4-3 win over UC Davis in the semifinals of the Big West Men's Tennis Championship on Friday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
 
Top-seeded Hawai'i (8-11) and second seed Cal Poly will play on Sunday for the tournament title and an NCAA Tournament berth. First serve is set for 9:00 a.m. PT (6:00 a.m. HT)
 
The match, which lasted four hours, featured four singles matches going the full three sets with Jonathan Brooklyn and Carter Lam earning an 8-7 (4) tiebreak win on the two court to clinch the doubles point.

The 'Bows took a 2-0 lead after Aggie freshman James Wade had to retire in his two singles match with Nils Schuhmann.
 
UC Davis (14-11) would mount a comeback and capture three consecutive wins.  Bryce McKelvie topped Pavel Liska at the six, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, then Danilo Casanova fell to Brett Bacharach at the four in another three-setter.
 
The Aggies then captured their third, and what proved to be their final, point of the match when  Brooklyn lost a back-and-forth entertaining contest on the one court to Alec Adamson 6-4, 7-6 (5).

David Schuster got the 'Bows back on track with a three-set match of his own.  Schuster, playing at No. 5, beat Parker Kelley by a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 score.

With the match tied at 3-3, the outcome of the epic contest rested in the hands of Okamoto and Kyle Miller. Okamoto lost the first set, but rebounded to win the next two and earn the hard-fought match-clinching victory, 3-6, 6-2, 7-5.
