Michigan (7-4) headed into singles with the lead after a tie-break win on the two doubles court. Alex Petrone and Michael Zhu made quick work of the UH tandem of

Marcel Chan, but
Jonathan Brooklyn and
Danilo Casanova delivered a rousing 8-3 win over the 17

The doubles point then hinged on the two court result.
