PORTLAND, Ore.—The Rainbow Warrior Tennis Team (4-10, 1-0 Big West) defeated Idaho (7-10, 2-1 Western Athletic), 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center.

The 'Bows would strike first by winning the doubles point. UH's No. 1 pair of David Schuster and Nils Schuhmann beat the Vandal's Andrew Zedde and Jose Bendeck, 8-3. The 'Bows earned the doubles point when Jonathan Brooklyn and Carter Lam defeated Matt Oddonetto and Artemiy Nikitin, 8-4, on the No. 2 court. The last match did not finish due to UH winning the first two matches.

Danilo Casanova earned the first singles win for the 'Bows, defeating his UI opponent Odon Barta in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Schuster captured the second victory for UH, cruising past Cesar Torres, 6-1, 6-2. The 'Bows' Pavel Liska won his match in straight sets against Filip Fichtel, 6-0, 6-2, thus giving UH the win. Lam beat Zedde in his match to give the 'Bows their fifth point.

The Rainbow Warriors will next play on April 1st against Big West opponent UC Davis in Davis, Calif. The match will start at 1:00 p.m. PT, at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
