Men’s Tennis Falls To No. 27 Oregon

Jonathan Brooklyn gave the 'Bows their lone win
EUGENE, Ore.—The Rainbow Warrior Tennis (3-9) team fell to No. 27 Oregon (14-1) 6-1, at the Student Tennis Center in Eugene, Oregon.

The Ducks took the early lead as they earned the doubles point to begin the match. Oregon's No. 3 duo of Daniel Sardu and Jayson Amos defeated UH's Chas Okamoto and Chris Meyer, 8-2.  The 'Bows' Jonathan Brooklyn and Carter Lam played tough, but came up short against Daan Maasland and Joey Swaysland, 8-5, thus giving Oregon the doubles point. The match on the No. 1 court did not finish due to the Ducks winning the other two matches.

Oregon would continue to win in singles. OU's Sardu won his match against Danilo Casanova, 6-3, 6-2.  UH's Pavel Liska lost his match to Amos, 6-1, 6-2 and Maasland would put the match away for the Ducks with a victory over Okamoto, 6-3, 6-4. Brooklyn gave the 'Bows their lone point with a win against the Cambier on the one court, 7-5, 6-7, 10-4.

The 'Bows will play their next match tomorrow against Portland in Portland, Ore. The match will start at 1:00 p.m. PT (10:00 a.m. HT) and will be at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center.
