Men's Tennis Hosts Oklahoma State, USF This Week

Danilo Casanova will look to notch his first singles victory this week
HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior tennis team returns home this week from a challenging west coast road trip to play No. 18 Oklahoma State and San Francisco at the UH Tennis Complex. The 'Bows will play OSU on Tuesday, Mar. 18 (2:00 p.m.) and Wednesday, Mar. 19 (1:00 p.m.).

Despite the three road losses, two against nationally ranked teams in USC and Pepperdine, junior Chas Okamoto had an outstanding week going 3-1 including a tiebreak doubles win with partner David Schuster.

UH's No. 1 Jonathan Brooklyn played a pair of three-set matches, winning one at LMU. He gave USC's Robert Quiroz, ranked 46th nationally, a run for his money but fell short 4-6, 7-6, 7-10.

OSU comes in looking to close out its non-conference slate before taking on No. 43 TCU. The Cowboys are currently on a four-match win streak.

USF has compiled an 8-6 mark through 14 dual matches this season, but have yet to defeat a ranked opponent after falling to No. 16 California, then-No. 35 TCU and No. 43 Santa Clara.
