LOS ANGELES, Calif—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (1-6, 0-0 Big West) fell against No. 4 USC (15-2, 0-0 Pac 12) 6-0, at the Mark's Tennis Stadium.
USC's No. 45 Jonny Wang controlled the first match, defeating UH's
Chas Okamoto 6-0, 6-1. The Trojan's Eric Johnson won his match against the 'Bows'
Danilo Casanova 6-2, 6-1. UH's
Pavel Liska was overpowered by USC's Nick Crystal 6-1, 6-2. The Trojan's Rob Bellamy sealed the match by winning against the 'Bows'
Carter Lam 6-1, 7-5. UH's
David Schuster was topped by USC's No. 118 Michael Grant 6-1, 6-3.
The 'Bows'
Jonathan Brooklyn came close a win against No. 64 Roberto Quiroz. He dropped the first set 4-6, won 7-6 in the second, but fell in the tie breaker third set set 10-7.
The Rainbow Warriors will play on Saturday against Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, Calif. The matches will start at 10:00 a.m. PT (7:00 a.m. HT).
