HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's swimming and diving team will open the season in San Diego this week, competing in a dual meet against San Diego State. The Rainbow Wahine will face SDSU on Friday, Oct. 24 at 2:00 p.m. PT (11:00 a.m. HT) at the Aztec Aquaplex.
Junior
Lauren Hall and senior
Genevieve Bradley lead the Rainbow Wahine diving contingent. Hall comes into the season with NCAA national championships experience having qualified for the NCAA's last spring. Bradley suffered a season ending injury last season but will look to return to the form that qualified her for two NCAA zone appearances during her career.
Senior
Jasmine Alkhaldi leads the 'Bows on the swimming front. Alkhaldi set a new meet record last season in claiming gold in the 100 free at the MPSF Championships one day after winning the 50 free.
The meet will be the first home competition of the season for SDSU who won all five dual meets in Nashville two weeks ago to open the season.
