Series Notes

HONOLULU – For the second time this season, the University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team heads out for a 10-day, seven-game road trip. The trip begins at Pacific where the 'Bows and Tigers will play Friday, May 3 (6:00 p.m. PT, 3:00 p.m. HT), Saturday, May 4 (4:00 p.m. PT, 1:00 p.m. HT), Sunday, May 5 (1:00 p.m. PT, 10:00 a.m. HT).

The Rainbows (9-29, 4-11 BWC) are coming of a Big West Conference series against then-No. 4 Cal State Fullerton where they won the series opener but were shut out in games two and three. Connor Little allowed three runs in seven and two-thirds strong innings in UH's series opening win, with Lawrence Chew finishing the game and picking up the win in one and one-third scoreless innings.

UH was held scoreless the next two games but it was more a credit to Cal State Fullerton's dominant pitching. UH hitters struck out only six times combined in those two games, and in game two, twice brought the tying run to the on deck circle in the ninth inning.

Junior Conner George continues to lead Hawai'i at the plate. He boasts team highs in hitting (.286), slugging percentage (.362), and on base percentage (.346).

Following the Pacific series, UH will play a non-conference game at Fresno State on Tuesday, May 7 and a three-game Big West series the following weekend at Long Beach State.

The Rainbows lead the all-time series against Pacific 15-3.
