HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team played its annual Alumni game, beating the former 'Bows, 6-1, on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Les Murakami Stadium. Starter Scott Squier earned the win for UH.
 
Squier pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and recording five strikeouts. Lawrence Chew and Jon Flinn pitched the eighth and ninth innings, respectively.
 
Marc Flores (1 H, 2 RBI) belted a two-run double to drive home Kalei Hanawahine and Pi'ikea Kitamura to open the scoring in the fourth inning and kickstart the Rainbow offense. Conner George (1 H, 2 RBI) had a pair of RBI of his own, driving home Andre Real and Quintin Torres-Costa in the eighth inning for UH's fifth and sixth runs.
 
Max Duval posted one hit and one RBI, and LJ Brewster added one hit and one run scored.
 
Former Rainbow pitcher Matt Sisto plated the only run for the Alumni while also adding a hit.
 
The 'Bows officially kick off the 2013 season next weekend when they host No. 6 Oregon in a four-game series at Les Murakami Stadium. Game one is set for Friday, Feb. 15 at 6:35 p.m.
