HONOLULU - The No. 15 University of Hawai'i women's water polo team is set to host No. 2 Stanford on Saturday, Mar. 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. UH (5-7, 0-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) looks to grab its first conference victory at the home-opener.
The Rainbow Wahine return home from a bittersweet road trip where they dropped their second MPSF match to No. 3 USC and split four matches at the UC Irvine Invitational to finish in 13th place.
Amarens Genee led UH through the five matches tallying up a total of 13 goals on the road trip.
UH last met the Cardinal at Stanford on Apr. 9, 2011 in conference play and fell just two goals short, 10-8. The Rainbow Wahine look to take its first-ever victory over Stanford this week.
