Rainbows Host San Jose State In Final Home Series

Game notes

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team (27-20, 12-4 WAC) hosts its final home series of the season this week, facing San Jose State (30-18, 9-7 WAC) in a four-game series on May 12, 13 and 15.

The series will include a game on Thursday, at 6:35 p.m., a doubleheader on Friday, starting at 3:35 p.m., and a game on Sunday, at 1:05 p.m. UH will not play on Saturday, May 14, because of commencement ceremonies on campus.

The Rainbows are coming off a road trip in which they twice defeated Fresno State and won three of four games against Nevada. They are currently first in the WAC, holding a one-game lead over second-place Fresno State.

Sunday's game will also be the last home game for seniors Sean Montplaisir, Jeff Van Doornum, Blair Walters, Alex Capaul, and Zach Gallagher. Following the game UH will have a special senior day ceremony for the five outgoing players.
