SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 5 University of Hawai`i women's water polo team concluded the Santa Clara Invitational with two victories over Colorado State, 19-6 and host Santa Clara, 12-3, at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. The Rainbow Wahine improve to a 16-7 overall record.
Junior
Monika Eggens recorded a career-high nine goals in leading UH to an outright victory over Colorado State, breaking the school record for most goals scored in a single match. Eggens' performance against the Rams surpassed the record formerly held by Marie Luc-Arpin's eight goals against Michigan in 1998.
The Rainbow Wahine dominated every quarter of the match, earning a comfortable 11-3 advantage by halftime. UH fired in seven more goals in the second half and held the Rams to just three, sailing to a landslide 19-6 win.

Kelly McKee recorded a hat trick to help lead UH.
UH opened strong against Santa Clara, seizing a strong 5-1 advantage at halftime. The Rainbow Wahine powered in seven more goals in the second half and eased into a 12-3 triumph to close the invitational.

Saara Majuri each recorded a hat trick against the Broncos to combine for six of the Rainbow Wahine's 12 goals.
UH wraps up regular season play when they return home to host No. 11 Arizona State in a conference match-up on Apr. 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
