Final Results
STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team completed its first mainland competition of the outdoor season at the Stanford Invitational Saturday at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
One day after recording the fourth fasted 1,500-meter run in school history, senior
Ashley Aitken competed the 800-meter run in 2:14.08, which ranks 10
th all-time.
School record triple jump record holder
Madara Apine placed third with a leap of 40-1.25 (12.22m) in the invitational division. Candace Alvarez tied for seventh at 37-6.5 (11.44m).
In the women's discus invitational, junior
TeRina Keenan was sixth with a throw of 160-5 (48.89m). In the collegiate division, senior
Careena Onosai took 11
th at 137-3 (41.84m).
Freshman
Joanna Franke-Kuhn placed ninth in the collegiate division of the hammer throw at 162-2 (49.44m) while senior
Anika Borden was 13
th at 157-1 (47.89m).
The Rainbow Wahine will next host the Rainbow Relays, Saturday, April 2, at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
