'Bows Host WAC Tournament Facing Louisiana Tech As No. 5 Seed

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team hosts the NAPA Auto Parts Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament this week at Les Murakami Stadium. The Rainbows (31-24) come into the tournament as the No. 5 seed, opening against second-seeded Louisiana Tech at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.
 
The tournament will be double-elimination with games at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. from Thursday, May 21, to Saturday, May 23. The championship game(s) will then be on Sunday, May 24, at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., if necessary.
 
Top-seeded San Jose State plays the tournament-opener against No. 6 seed Nevada at 11 a.m. Defending national champion and No. 3 seed Fresno State then plays New Mexico State at 3 p.m. before the UH-LA Tech game at 7 p.m.

All games in the tournament will be available via the Internet through http://wac.tv.
 
Rainbows on the Radio
ESPN Radio (1420 AM) will broadcast all UH games live with DON ROBBS calling the action. ESPN will also broadcast other games in the tournament, picking up the feed from other school's broadcasters, depending on scheduling availability. The broadcasts can also be heard on the Internet at http://espn1420am.com.

Ticket Information
Tickets packages are $35 for lower and mid-level seats and $25 for upper level seats for packages that will be good for all games on all four days of the tournament.
 
Single-session tickets are also on sale for $10 in the lower and mid levels and $7 in the upper level.
 
In addition to purchasing tickets online at HawaiiAthletics.com, fans can visit the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., or call 944-2697 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
