IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's water polo team picked up two wins on the opening day of the UC Irvine Tournament Saturday at the Anteater Aquatic Complex. The third-ranked Rainbow Wahine defeated No.13 Cal State Northridge, 14-10 and No. 5 San Diego State, 9-5.

Against CSUN, UH (8-4, 0-3 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) lagged one point behind the Matadors after the first quarter, but were able to rally for an 8-7 halftime lead.
