Biography

2011 (Senior): Played in 24 matches…was third on the team with 25 kick-outs drawn…collected 22 steals, 14 assists and 10 goals on the season...recorded a season-high two goals against Indiana (Feb. 5) at the Stanford Invitational and scored another pair in a huge conference victory over rival UCLA (Feb. 24)…an MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete…finished career in fourth on the program’s all-time assists list with 69.

2010 (Junior): Played and started in all 26 matches…scored 20 goals on the season…led the team defensively with 48 steals…also led the team with 26 assists…tallied 20 kick-outs drawn…scored a season-high two goals against California (Feb. 3) in a loss and two against Arizona State (Feb. 6) to help the Rainbow Wahine defeat the Sun-Devils 11-7 at the Stanford Invitational. 

2009 (Sophomore): Played in 29 matches…recorded 30 goals averaging one goal per match…performed a hat trick in five matches, the first against Santa Clara (Feb. 2) in a 21-6 victory, then again against UCLA (Feb. 7) helping UH defeat the Bruins for the first time ever in a close 13-12 win…performed a third again at UCLA (Feb. 19) in an 8-11 loss, a fourth against Indiana (Mar. 21) in a 6-2 win and a fifth in a vital match against San Diego State (Apr. 25) in the MPSF tournament, leading UH to a 10-9 overtime victory…is first on the team with 29 assists… second on the team with 27 steals and additionally recorded eight kick-outs drawn. 

Prep:  A two year member of Widex GZC Donk water polo club…attended Hogeschool Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands for two years.

Personal: Born in Gorinchem, Netherlands…major is undecided…has one brother and four sisters…parents are Maryska Reitsma and Brucht Genee of Gorinchem, Netherlands.
