CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The second round of the 2009 Aztec Invitational has been postponed until Monday due to rain. The tournament will conclude with the completion of the second round and third round on Monday.

 

When play was suspended, only one Rainbow Wahine was still on the course as junior Corie Hou was completing her round. UH's three remaining golfers were able to finish their round which included senior Phyllis Lai (78-79), senior Carolina Perez (73-81) and junior Erin Matsuoka (80-85).

 

Only six of the 18 teams were able to finish their second rounds. San Jose State momentarily took over the team lead from first day leader UC Irvine until stoppage of play.

The third round will start with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. PT at the Salt Creek Golf Course.
