Hixson Park in Reno, Nev.

Jessica Morton fired the final 1.1 innings, giving up one run on a solo shot over the leftfield fence. Morton had one strike out. In the bottom of the first, UNR's Brittany Puzey hit a one-out double to right-centerfield. Then with two outs, Britton Murdock took her place at second with another double to right-center to drive in Puzey for the game's first run.

Hawai`i responded in the top of the second, knotting the score at 1-1. Kate Robinson led things off with a single to left. She moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Clare Warwick, then scored on an RBI single to right by Valana Manuma.

Nevada then scored single runs in the third, fifth and sixth innings. Puzey collected her second double of the game with a rip down the leftfield line to start the Wolf Pack rally in the third. She eventually scored after she stole third base and the throw from the catcher was wide and sailed into leftfield to break the tie, 2-1.

Noelle Micka scored in the fifth with a RBI single to left by Murdock. Then in the sixth, Danielle Patrick tacked on another run with her third home run of the season to push their lead to 4-1.

Hawai`i and Nevada will play the second game of today's doubleheader shortly.
