HONOLULU - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow baseball team (9-7) fell to the San Francisco Dons (5-7) 7-4 in front of a crowd of 2,149 at the Les Murakami Stadium Sunday.
Clary Carlsen (2-3) took the loss for UH while Mid-Pacific product Patrick McGuigan (1-2) got the win for the Dons.
Gregory Kish went 3-for-4 on the game while Matthew Inouye added a 2-for-4 game with one run, one RBI and two stolen bases.
The Dons scored one in the first inning. But Inouye brought back the 'Bows, driving in a run and scoring another in the bottom of the inning, putting UH up 2-1.
USF then drove in a run in the second, tying it at two before scoring two more in the fourth, making it 4-2. San Francisco got another run in the top of the seventh before Joshua Green drove in a run to cut the lead back to one run at 5-4. But the Dons came up big in the eighth inning, scoring two big insurance runs to make the final score 7-4.
There was a 32-minute rain delay in the bottom of the fourth inning.
