2014 (Freshman): Competed in the 200-meters and 400-meters events.
 
Prep: A 2012 graduate of Pearl City High School on O‘ahu… lettered four years in basketball, three years in track and field and two years in cross country…competed in the hurdles and 4x400-meter relay…two-time OIA champion in the 300-meter hurdles in 2011 and ’12…placed fourth at the state meet in the 300-meter hurdles in 2012…ran the third leg of the 4x-400-meter relay team that took first place at the Punahou Relays in 2012…member of 2012 OIA Red Division championship basketball squad…named first-team all-OIA in basketball and track in 2012…school’s Athlete of the Year in 2012…posted PRs of 46.8 in the 300-meter hurdles and 16.5 in the 100-meter hurdles…member of the athlete honor society.
 
Personal: Born in Pearl City, O‘ahu…intends to major in business…has two sisters and one brother…parents are Jay and Cheryl Sylva of Pearl City, O‘ahu.
