Biography

2010-11 (Senior): Recipient of the WAC’s 2011 Joe Kearney Award and the school’s Jack Bonham Award…recorded a season-high 344.55 points after winning the 3 meter at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23-26)…also won the 1 meter (292.20) and took eighth on the platform (186.40)…advanced to the NCAA Championships where she took seventh on the 1 meter (315.45) and 26th on the 3 meter (275.50)…earned a season-high 308.35 points after a first place finish on the 1 meter in a dual-meet against UC San Diego (Jan. 29)…tallied nine top three finishes on the season…finished 4th on the 1 meter (592.80) and 14th on the 3 meter (263.95) at the Zone E Championships (Mar. 10-12).

2009-10: Redshirted.

2008-09 (Junior): Finished third in the 1-meter (331.35) and 13th in the 3-meter at the NCAA Championship (March 19)…became WAC Champion for the third year in a row in the 1-meter event, breaking the WAC Championship record along with the UH record (Feb. 25-28) with 338.40 points...won her first 3-meter WAC title with 361.20 points…placed first at the NCAA Zone E Qualifying Meet (Mar. 12-14) on both springboards…won both the 1-meter (322.85) and 3-meter (288.75) dives at the Rainbow Diving Invitational (Jan. 16-17)…placed second in the 1-meter (309.05) and fifth in the 3-meter (279.75) at the Texas Diving Invitational (Dec. 4-6).

2007-08 (Sophomore): Won the NCAA Championships in the 1-meter event...also placed 6th in the 3-meter event at the NCAA Championships...was one of three divers to tie for Women’s NCAA Diver of the Year...winner of the Joe Kearney Award given by the Western Athletic Conference to the top female athlete in 2007-08 among all WAC sports...captured the WAC Championship on 1-meter...won the Trojan Diving Invitational on 1-meter...placed 7th at the CAMO Invitational on 3-meter...placed 6th at the FINA Russian Grand Prix event on 3-meter...finished 5th at the Canadian Olympic Diving Trials in the 3-meter event...won the 1-meter (307.10) and 3-meter (300.30) events at UC Irvine Shootout...placed 2nd in 3-meter event at the Rainbow Diving Invitational (Jan. 18).

2006-2007 (Freshman): Captured first place at the WAC Championship on the 1M...only freshman to win a diving event at the conference championship...also placed second at the WAC on the 3M and 11th on the platform...finished second on the 1M and fifth on the 3M springboard at the NCAA Zone E Diving Regional... qualified for the NCAA Championship where she finished 17th on the 1M and 21st on the 3M...won the Trojan Diving Invitational on the 1M and was fourth on the 3M...won the Lincoln Aquatics Shootout on the 1M and was second on the 3M...placed 4th on 1M at the Texas Diving Invitational...finished sixth on the 1M and eighth on the 3M at the Canadian Winter Nationals.

Prep: A 2006 graduate of Seycove Secondary School in North Vancouver, B.C., Canada...won the 1-meter at 2003 Canadian Junior Nationals...placed second on 1-meter at 2003 Canadian Senior Nationals...silver medalist in 3-meter synchronized diving at 2004 Junior World Championship...won the 1-meter and placed third on 3-meter at the 2005 Canada Games.

Born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada...plans to major in kinesiology...has one brother and one sister...mother was a U.S. national champion diver at SMU, while father was a Canadian Olympic diver...parents are Christine Loock and Ron Friesen of North Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
