Biography

2022 (Sophomore):
  • Appeared in 24 games, primarily as a pinch-runner
  • Made first collegiate start against California (5/12/22)
  • Scored seven runs on the season
  • Recorded first collegiate stolen bases at UC Santa Barbara (3/19/22-GM1) and second stolen base against Cal Poly 4/8/22-GM1)
2021 (Freshman):
  • Appeared in five games--four as a pinch-runner and one as a sub in the outfield
  • Scored two runs for the season, on vs. UC Riverside (4/17/21-GM1) and vs. Long Beach State (4/17/21)
  • Had an at-bat vs. Long Beach State (5/1/21)
Prep:
  • A 2020 graduate of Mira Costa HS (Manhattan Beach, Calif.)
  • Earned four varsity letters in softball and two in surfing
  • Helped to lead the Mustangs to the league championship in 2018 and ‘19
  • Earned all-league first team honors in 2019 and was named the 2019 Mira Costa Softball Most Valuable Player
  • In 2019 was also voted all-area first team, all-CIF Southern Section, and second team all-state.
  • In 2019 led the league in on-base percentage, fielding percentage, runs scored and stolen bases.
  • Earned scholar-athlete honors in both softball and surfing
  • Earned Best Creative Writer award for Mira Costa HS and was the 2020 MB Circle Award winner for Excellence in Poetry
  • Was a member of the Heal the Bay Club and the Marine and Mammal Care Club

Personal:
  • Was born with Brachial Plexus injury which tore nerves from her spinal cord on her right side, leaving her right arm paralyzed. After 12 surgeries to get her arm into a neutral position, she has little use of her right arm. But it has not stopped her from doing anything and over the years has played many sports and activities including becoming an LA County Junior Lifeguard. She started playing softball at 12 and has been playing ever since then.
  • Played two seasons with the California Cruisers club team
  • Parents are Taci and Dan Neri of Manhattan Beach, Calif.
