2015 (Senior): Played in eight (8) games in his final season Hawai’i as a catcher and pinch hitter, starting in four (4) games behind the plate…Batted .133 with two (2) RBI, taking base twice via walk…Defensively, Pollakov registered 24 putouts and three (3) assists with a .964 fielding percentage…Aided UH to a win over New Mexico State (3/22), sending in a pair of RBI.
2014 (Junior): Played in 15 games with seven (7) starts, mainly at catcher...Batted .200 (6-30) with two (2) runs and two (2) RBI...Had a hit in his first career appearance (Oregon, 2/17)...Posted one (1) hit against Albany (2/23)...Went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored at No. 10 UC Santa Barbara (3/29)...Had a career-high two (2) hits to go along with an RBI vs. Cal Poly (4/13)...Drew two (2) walks and drove home a run vs. NYIT (5/3).
Prior To UH: Played one season at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif…team was ranked as high as second in the state…studied abroad for one year in the Dominican Republic and trained with the Ramon “Papiro” Genao baseball school.
Prep: A 2010 graduate of Buffalo Grove High School in Buffalo Grove, Illinois...lettered four seasons in baseball and golf for two…baseball team won 2008 regional title…earned first team all-conference honors…as a senior, he batted .410 with 10 doubles, three homeruns, and 22 RBI…graduated with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society…as a sophomore, was ranked in the Top 25 among freshman and sophomores for golf.
