2009 (Senior): Started the first four games of the season at quarterback…passed for 1,433 yards and nine touchdowns before sustaining season-ending knee injury in Louisiana Tech (Sept. 30) game…prior to the injury, was the nation’s leader in total offense (446.0), and ranked second in passing average (411.3) and fifth in passing efficiency (178.8).…rushed for 103 yards averaging 25.8 yards per game…season-long 73-yard touchdown pass to Rodney Bradley at Washington State (Sept. 12)…also passed for 453 yards and three touchdowns against the Cougars which earned him WAC Player of the Week honors…rushed for a team-high 16 rushes for 76 yards against Central Arkansas (Sept. 4)…passed for 477 yards at UNLV (Sept. 19) …had two 400-plus yard passing games.
2008 (Junior): Started seven games at quarterback, including last six of the season....completed 154-of-245 for 1,895 yards and 14 touchdowns...threw for more than 250 yards in five games...also rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns...started season-opener at Florida (Aug. 30)...completed 11-of-21 passes for 57 yards in a little more than two quarters of action...named WAC Offensive Player of the Week after rallying UH to a 38-31 win over Nevada (Oct. 25)...came off the bench in the second half to complete 17-of-22 for 205 yards and two touchdowns...tossed the game-winning 24-yard pass to Malcolm Lane with 20 seconds left...also had nine carries for 21 yards versus the Wolf Pack...led UH to three straight wins at New Mexico State (Nov. 15), Washington State (Nov. 22) and Idaho (Nov. 29)...posted 288 yards passing, 37 yards rushing and accounted for three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) at New Mexico State...threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns against Idaho (Nov. 22)...connected with Lane on an 82-yard touchdown versus the Vandals, the longest play from scrimmage on the season and the eighth-longest pass play in school history...passed for career-high 315 yards on 19-of-34 passing against Washington State (Nov. 29) to clinch bowl berth for the Warriors...275 yards passing and two touchdowns versus nationally ranked Cincinnati (Dec. 6) in regular-season finale...tallied 261 yards passing and two scores against Notre Dame (Dec. 24) in the Sheraton Hawai‘i Bowl...academic all-WAC.
Prior To UH: Played two seasons at Santa Rosa Junior College in California...redshirted in 2005 before earning all-conference honors the next two years...passed for 71 touchdowns in his two-year junior college career, a national record...completed 63-percent of his passes (284-448) for 3,487 yards, 40 touchdowns and only six interceptions in 2007...had a passer rating of 155.6...ranked second in the state in passing (348.7)...led the NorCal conference in passing and total offense (369.7)...two-time first-team all-NorCal conference selection... completed 40-of-57 for 610 yards and six touchdowns against Feather River...had seven TD passes against Diablo Valley and six against San Joaquin Delta...posted nine 300-yard passing games...led team to a conference championship as a freshman in 2006...was the nation’s top-rated quarterback by JCFootball.com among 152 junior colleges.
