Biography

2006 (Senior): Started all 14 games at center…led team with 25 pancakes…was named to the 2006 Preseason Rimington Trophy and Lombardi Award Watch Lists…a 2006 All-WAC First Team member…named to the 2006 SI.com Second Team…received one game ball for Team Offensive Player of the Week…graded highest of the offensive line four times.

2005 (Junior): Started all 12 games at left guard...a first-team all-WAC pick...gave up two sacks in 578 pass attempts...recorded a team-high 32 knockdowns...posted the highest grade among offensive linemen in four games...finished second on the team with an 86-percent average grade and finished among the top three in all 12 games...posted a 91 percent grade against Wisconsin (Nov. 25).

2004 (Sophomore): A second-team all-WAC selection...started all 13 games, 10 at left guard and three at center...led the team with 42 knockdowns.

2003 (Freshman): A second-team all-WAC selection...Scripps/FWAA first-team Freshman All-American...started all 14 games (first game of the year at left tackle and 13 straight at left guard)...recorded a team-high 48 knockdowns...gave up one sack (vs. Houston) in 754 pass attempts...compiled a career-high nine knockdowns at Louisiana Tech (Oct. 18)...team’s Warrior Club award-winner.

2002: Redshirted

Prep: A 2002 graduate of Kailua High School on O‘ahu...led Kailua to a share of the league championship...a first-team all-state selection by the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and The Honolulu Advertiser as a senior...also named first-team all-league...listed as a high school All-American by Prep Star magazine as one of the top 20 best offensive linemen in the West...earned the Top Offensive Lineman Award at the 2001 Maverick Football clinic...also earned three letters in basketball...an honorable mention all-league during his junior and senior seasons and team MVP as a junior...earned three varsity letters in track and field (shot put and discus)...named school’s Athlete of the Year for 2000-01.

Personal: Born in Kailua, O‘ahu...nephew of former Warrior and San Diego Charger Alvis Satele and former Rainbow Wahine volleyball player Lee Ann Pestana...has two sisters...parents are Norine and Faalata Satele of Kane‘ohe, O‘ahu.
