Biography

2010-2011 (Senior): Appeared in 30 games with two starts in her senior season...averaged 12.9 minutes, 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per game…was fifth on the team with 29 assists and had nine steals on the year…was 8-for-30 in 3-pointers for a .267 average…against North Carolina Central (Nov. 26), in 18 minutes of play she went 3-for-3 from the floor—including a 3-point shot—for a season-high seven points while grabbing four rebounds...appeared in all 16 WAC games…averaged 11.9 minutes in conference action with a totall of 24 points and five steals...was named a WAC and UH scholar-athlete for the second year in a row.

2009-10 (Junior): Appeared in 15 games… scored 10 points in 26 minutes of play against Kent State (Dec. 30) with four rebounds three assists, and one steal.

Prior to UH: Attended Kapiolani Community College for two years in Honolulu, O‘ahu.
 
Prep: A 2005 graduate of Chikushijogakuen High School in Fukuoka City, Japan.
 
Personal: Born in Sasebo, Nagasaki in Japan…is an interdisciplinary studies major in health and wellness…has one older brother and one older sister…parents are Machiko Ayabe and Kan Ayabe of Fukuoka, Japan.
