Biography

2011-12 (Senior): Competed in three tournaments…averaged 78.4 strokes per round…season-best finish was 32nd at the WAC Championship, where he shot 235…also shot 235 at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational, where he placed 40th.

2010-11 (Junior): Competed in six of 10 tournaments…averaged 77.7 strokes per round…best finish was a tie for 33rd at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational, where he shot 229…low round was 3-under 68 in the third round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational…shot 2-under 70 on the final day of the John Burns Intercollegiate.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Competed in all ten tournaments…held an average of 77.2 strokes per round…earned top individual at the Giustina Memorial Classic with a 226 and the Prestige at PGA West with a 232…best finish (T25th), lowest 54-hole score (220), and low-round (70) came at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational.

2008-09 (Freshman): Competed in eight tournaments…averaged 77.96 strokes per round…low 54-hole score of 221 at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational and Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational…season-low of 69 at the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational…placed 43rd at the WAC Championship.
 
Prep: A 2008 graduate of Mililani High School on O‘ahu…earned four letters in golf…named the league golfer of the year from 2005-08...won the local qualifier to advance to the 2008 U.S. Public Links in Aurora, Colo., where he shot 75-76 at the Publinx.

Personal: Born in Mililani, O‘ahu…plans to major in business…has one younger sister…parents are Jordan and Tammie Sawada of Mililani, O‘ahu.
