Biography

2011-12 (Junior): Competed in four tournaments…averaged 79.2 strokes per round…tied for 38th at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational…season-best 54-hole score of 230 at the Ameri Ari Invitaitonal in which he shot 2-over 74 during the second round.
 
2010-11 (Sophomore): Competed in two tournaments…averaged 78.2 strokes per round…tied for 28th at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational with an 11-over 227…tied for 89th at the John Burns Intercollegiate with a 242…low round was 72 at the Kaua‘i Invitational.

2009-10 (Freshman): Competed in six tournaments…held an average of 79.1 strokes per round…earned top individual at the Prestige at PGA West with a 232…best finish (T31st) and low 54-hole score (223) came at the Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational, where he shot a team-low round of 67.

Prep: A 2009 graduate of Maryknoll High School in Honolulu, O‘ahu...lettered four years in golf...three-time all-Interscholastic League of Honolulu pick...two-time winner of the Francis Hyde I‘i Brown Four-Ball Match Play...earned first place at the 2007 OJGA Pearl Junior Open and second place at the 2007 Mamala Bay Hickam AFB Invitational...won the 2006 U.S. Army Junior Invitational in the 15-17 division and the 2006 Westfield PGA Junior Championship in the 13-15 division.

Personal: Born in Fullerton, Calif...has one brother...parents are Young and Charlene Chu of Honolulu, O‘ahu.
