Biography

2021 (Freshman):
  • Made Rainbow Warrior debut in relief at Arizona State, throwing 3.0 innings (2/27).
  • Pitched three straight outings in March without allowing an earned run over 7.1 innings.
  • Pitched 3.0 scoreless innings at Big West Champion UC Irvine, giving up just one hit and striking out three (3/26).
  • One of seven pitchers to start a game in 2021, starting two games.
  • Made first D-I start against UC Santa Barbara (4/4).
  • Pitched a season-high 5.0 innings in relief against UC Riverside, striking out a season-high four batters (4/18).

Prior to UH:
  • Pitched in six games for San Jacinto CC striking out 16 batters in 9.1 innings.
  • Gave up just five hits and one extra-base hit, a double, for San Jacinto.
  • Had committed to LSU before injury changed his collegiate plans.
  • Also considered Baylor and Oklahoma.

Prep:
  • A 2019 graduate of Cypress Ranch HS in Cypress Texas, was a high school teammate with fellow Rainbow Warrior Scotty Scott.
  • 2019 Perfect Game Preseason All-American honorable mention and All-Texas second team.
  • 2017 and 2018 Perfect Game Underclassman Preseason All-American high honorable mention.
  • Went to the state finals twice with Cypress Ranch.

  • Has one younger sister, Allison.
  • Father, Gary, played baseball at LSU from 1988-91, winning the program's first national title in 1991. Was named the 1991 CWS' Most Outstanding Player.
