2019 (Senior):

• Played in seven games, while making four starts at outside linebacker. 
• Accounted for 23 tackles, 14 solos, 1.0 tackles-for-loss and one sack on the season. 
• Put together a career-high six tackles and a forced fumble at Boise State.
• Earned academic all-MW honors.

2018 (Junior):

• Played in all 14 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams.
• Recorded 25 tackles, a sack, and one quarterback hurry.
• Logged a season-high five tackles at Army and versus Utah State.
• Earned academic all-MW honors.

2017:

• Redshirted. 

Prior To UH:

• Played two seasons at Pima Community College in Arizona.
• Tallied 128 tackles, four sacks and 12.5 tackles-for-loss in 19 total games played.
• As a sophomore, led the team in tackles with 70, including 61 solo with 6.5 tackles-for-loss and two sacks.
• Accounted for 58 tackles, including 6.5 tackles-for-loss for third-best on the team as a freshman.
• Also tallied two sacks, a fumble recovery and one pass breakup.

Prep:

• A 2015 graduate of Damien Memorial High School in Honolulu, O‘ahu.
• Earned three varsity letters in football.
• As a senior, named ILH Defensive Player of the Year and Division II all-state first team. 
• Caught 10 passes for 177 yards and one touchdown at tight end during his senior season.

Personal:

• Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu.
• Major is human development and family studies.
• Has three older sisters and two older brothers.
• Parents are Leonard and Merlene Picanco of Kane‘ohe, O‘ahu.
