2017-18 (Senior):

• Team co-captain; second straight year served as a captain.
• Led the team in blocked shots (19) and starts (29).
• Second on the team in rebounding (4.7 rpg) and third in scoring (10.4 ppg).
• Also second on the team and fifth in the Big West in field goal percentage (.536).
• Scored in double-digits 15 times, including in each of the last three games.
• Scored a career-high 23 points in final game as a Rainbow Warrior vs. UC Irvine in Big West Tournament quarterfinals.
• Team went 5-1 when he was the leading scorer.
• Named to the Rainbow Classic All-Tournament Team.

2016-17 (Junior): Named all-Big West honorable mention…a team tri-captain…one of just two players to start all 30 games…led the team and ranked seventh in the Big West in field goal percentage (.514)…had a team-high 21 double-digit scoring games…scored in double-figures in each of the last eight games…also led the team in free throw attempts (121) and blocks (18)… finished second on the team in scoring (11.4 ppg) and rebounding (4.8 rpg)…season-high 11 rebounds in season-opener vs. SIUE (Nov. 11)…tallied 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting versus Florida Atlantic (Nov. 14)…scored the team’s final five points, including the game-winner with 6.3 seconds left, to help UH overcome a four-point deficit in the final minute…poured in a season-high 19 points vs. Princeton (Dec. 7) in the Pear Harbor Invitational….had 16 points and six rebounds vs. UC Riverside (Jan. 25)…scored 15 points in just 15 minutes in win over Cal Poly (Feb. 9)…tied his season-best with 19 points vs. UC Irvine (Feb. 11)…posted his first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds at UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 16)…helped lift UH to a home-finale win over Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 25) with 13 points, six rebounds, and four blocks, including several key plays on both ends of the court in overtime…had 18 points, six rebounds, and four assists in Big West Tournament quarterfinals vs. Long Beach State (Mar. 9).
2016-17 Game-by-Game Statistics
 
Prior To UH: Played two seasons for Salt Lake Community College in Utah….a second-team all-Region 18 pick as a sophomore…finished the year averaging 12.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while shooting 55.1 percent from the field…helped the Bruins capture the National Junior College Athletic Association title with a 74-64 victory over Hutchinson…tallied nine points and four rebounds in the championship game…also recorded 14 points and eight boards in a semifinal win over Gillette….SLCC ended the year with a 31-8 record and were Region 18 and District 1 champions…scored a season-high 30 points in the district championship game against Cochise to help SLCC qualify for the national tournament…as a freshman in 2014-15, averaged 6.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game…helped team finish 25-6 and capture the SWAC championship with a 13-2 mark….shot 44.3 percent from 3-point range (27-61)…prior to attending SLCC, served a two-year church mission in Belém, Brazil.

Prep: A 2010 graduate of Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah…earned two varsity letters in basketball…also a three-year letterwinner in golf, earning all-state honors as a senior.

Personal: Born in Bountiful, Utah…major is communications…has three brothers and two sisters…fluent in Portuguese…parents are Matt and Brooke Johnson of Centerville, Utah.
