Prior To UH: Attended Southwestern College in Chula Vista, Calif. for one year…played one year of baseball…team won a regional title while he was there…made the Dean’s List with a 4.0 GPA.
 
Prep: A 2009 graduate of Mountain Empire High School in Pine Valley, Calif…lettered for four years in football, basketball, and baseball…part of the team that won the Citrus South Conference title in baseball from 2005-‘09 and in basketball in 2005…was a four-time first team all-conference selections for baseball and two-time basketball and football selection…also named second team all-state and Mountain Empire’s athlete of the year…member of the Fellowship for Christian Athletes.
 
Personal: Born in Escondido, Calif…major is kinesiology and rehabilitation sciences…wife is former Rainbow Wahine All-American softball player Kelly Majam-Elms…has two older brothers and one older sister…parents are Donal and Janelle Elms of Santee, Calif.
