2011-12 (Senior): Appeared 25 games with one start against Nevada (Feb. 25)… averaged 7.6 minutes per game… averaged 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game…strongest game came against Virginia (November 26) at home in which she scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds—both season highs…became the first Rainbow Wahine basketball player to ever earn CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 First Team honors—and just the second player to earn all-district honors two seasons…named to the WAC All-Academic team for the fourth straight season.
2010-11 (Junior): Appeared in 29 games with a start against East Carolina (Dec. 21)…averaged 2.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.3 blocks, and 9.6 minutes per game…scored a season total of 71 points with 10 blocks, 58 rebounds, six assists and three steals…tallied a season-high 10 points against UCLA (Dec. 19) when she went 3-for-5 from the floor and was perfect at the free-throw line going 4-for-4…had a season-high seven rebounds against Columbia (Dec. 28)…played a season-high 24 minutes against New Mexico State (Jan. 6)…became just the fourth Rainbow Wahine basketball player to be selected a CoSIDA All-Academic District 8 award winner and earned her third all-WAC academic honor.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 30 games with 21 starts… scored a career-high 13 points against East Tennessee State (Nov. 29) with 11 rebounds and a steal… had a career-high 15 rebounds against Kent State (Dec. 30)… had 139 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks, 11 steals, and 143 points on the season… earned her second All-WAC academic honor.
2008-09 (Freshman): Was named academic all-WAC her first season…true freshman played in 28 games...scored six points in nine minutes in her debut against Loyola Marymount...scored four points off the bench against No. 5 Stanford on Nov. 30...scored a career-high 11 points against Utah State on Jan. 25...went 7-for-8 from the free throw line against Utah State...grabbed a career-high six rebounds against Utah State on Jan. 30.
International Experience: A member of the New Zealand "Tall Ferns" national women's basketball team (ranked 16th in world), since 2007...recent competition includes the Four Nations Tournament in China versus the Brazil, China, and Australia and the 2011 Oceania Olympic Qualifying Series versus the Australian Opals.
Academic Accolades: A 2012 candidate for the Rhodes Scholarship, Dew is an English major scheduled to graduate in Spring 2012...in the University of Hawai‘i Honors Program...a member of Phi Beta Kappa (inducted in Spring 2011 as a junior), Golden Key International Honour Society (inducted 2009), National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) (inducted 2009), University of Hawaii Honors Program (invited & accepted 2008)...also earned CoSIDA All-Academic District 8 honors, WAC Academic All-Conference (2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11), UH Dean's List (every semester since Fall 2008).
Prep: A 2008 graduate of Family Christian Academy in Madison, Tenn.…played four years of basketball...helped her team win the 2006 New Zealand Nationals…honored as part of North Harbour Basketball representative team named as most improved player… also part of the Junior Tall Ferns National Women’s Basketball Team from 2006-08…scored a career-high 55 points and 23 rebounds for North Harbour against Auckland in the New Zealand Northern Regional Tournament…was high school class valedictorian…received Chancellor’s Scholarship and two academic awards from Every Nation Leadership Institute.
