Men's Tennis Opens 2026-27 Season Hosting Manoa Fall Classic

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team opens its Fall season hosting the 2026 Mānoa Fall Classic from September 18-20 at the UH Tennis Complex. Friday's schedule will begin with doubles followed by singles matches starting at 9:00 a.m. HT. Saturday's start time is 9:00 a.m. HT, with just doubles on the slate for the day. The tournament concludes on Sunday, starting with doubles and ending with singles matches with the first serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. HT.

  • The start of the 2026–27 season marks the beginning of a new era for Hawai'i men's tennis as it makes the move to the Mountain West. The Rainbow Warriors have spent the last 13 seasons in the Big West, and now join Air Force, Grand Canyon, Nevada, New Mexico, San Jose State, UC Davis, UNLV, and UTEP in the MWC.
  • The Rainbow Warriors look to improve upon its 10-10 overall record and 3-3 Big West record in 2026.
  • Head coach Hendrik Bode begins his third year at the helm of the UH Rainbow Warriors' program. Bode enters the season with a 14-27 overall record at UH while going 4-8 in the Big West. Bode has a career record as a head coach of 214-91.
FOUR HAWAI'I RETURNEES
  • Adriano Dzhenev – 5-9 / Junior / Haskovo, Bulgaria / National Sports Academy - Vasil Levski / Central Florida (UCF)
    • In doubles, partnered with Kent Mueller and competed in 17 dual matches, finishing with a 9-4 overall record while going 3-1 in the Big West
    • In singles action, tallied an 8-5 overall record and a 2-0 record in the Big West
    • Earned Big West Player of the Week honors on April 2, 2026
    • Big West Honorable Mention in Doubles with partner Kent Mueller
  • Kent Mueller – 5-11 / Sophomore / Stuttgart, Germany / Privatgymnasium Mannheim
    • Big West Honorable Mention in Doubles with partner Adriano Dzhenev
    • Finished rookie season with an overall singles record of 7-6
    • In doubles, earned an overall record of 10-5, posting a 9-4 record playing with Dzhenev
