’Bows in the Bay: The Official University of Hawai‘i Weekend

The University of Hawaiʻi community is invited to gather in Northern California, August 27-29 for 'Bows in the Bay: The Official University of Hawaiʻi Weekend. Made possible through a collaboration among UH Athletics, the UH Foundation and the UH Foundation Office of Alumni Relations, the weekend will provide opportunities for attendees to connect with university leadership, reconnect with fellow alumni and friends, and cheer on the Rainbow Warrior football team as they open the 2026 season.

The weekend will kick off on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, with the University of Hawaiʻi Alumni and Friends Pau Hana, an evening dedicated to connection, conversation, and all things UH. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and hear from UH President Wendy Hensel and UH Mānoa Chancellor Vassilis Syrmos.

The Pau Hana will be held at The Alexandria at San Carlos, beginning at 6 p.m. Registration is $25 per person and includes pupus. Complimentary parking will be available for attendees.

"The University of Hawaiʻi's alumni community extends far beyond the islands, and 'Bows in the Bay is the perfect opportunity to bring our UH ʻohana together. Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, these events offer a chance to reconnect with fellow alumni and strengthen the relationships that keep our community connected wherever we are," said Maile Au, Associate VP of Alumni and Community Engagement.

The weekend continues on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, as alumni, friends, and fans gather for the 'Bows Pre-Game Rally ahead of the Rainbow Warriors' season-opening matchup against the Stanford Cardinal.

The rally will feature UH President Wendy Hensel and UH Athletics Director Matt Elliott and offer fans an opportunity to celebrate the Rainbow Warriors before kickoff. The event will take place at 1 p.m. at Ueland Field, conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Stanford Stadium.

Registration for the rally is $40 a person and includes food and access to a cash bar. Please note that game tickets and parking are not included with registration.

Kickoff for the UH vs. Stanford game is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Registration is now open. For tickets and more information on both events, visit https://uhalumni.org/system/event/4419.
