2025-26 Women's Tennis Season In Review

2025-26 Women's tennis

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Rainbow Wahine finished the season with a 7-11 record in Jun Hernandez's 21st year as the head coach.
  • UH entered the Big West Championship as the 8th seed. They defeated No. 5 seed UC Davis in the first round of the tournament, 4-3. They then fell to Long Beach State, 4-0, to finish the year.
  • Four Rainbow Wahine earned All-Big West honors. In singles, Grete Gull and Makeilah Nepomuceno earned honorable mentions. In doubles, both the pairs of Gull and Sophie Rachor and Nepomuceno and Hannah Galindo earned second-team honors.
  • Gull earned Big West Player of the Week honors after UH's win over No. 51 Long Beach State, 5-2.
  • The Rainbow Wahine peaked at No. 45 in the women's ITA Rankings.

Women's Tennis CSC Academic All-District
Makeilah Nepomuceno, Allaire Berl, and Sophie Rachor named to the CSC Acamedic All-District Team.

WINNING MOMENTS

Several Rainbow Wahine turned on the clutch gene and secured wins for the team during the regular season.

CLASS OF 2026

Three seniors were honored during this years senior day ceremony. The seniors included Allaire Berl, Sophie Rachor, and Isabella Pampulov.
