Hannah Pitts earned the win to improve to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while
Milan Ah Yat finished a double shy of hitting for the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a career-high four RBI on Saturday afternoon at La Rue Field in Davis, Calif..
Pitts followed her three-hit, complete-game shutout from a day ago, with another strong performance. On Saturday, Pitts allowed just one run on four hits with five strikeouts in six complete innings. Reliever

Hawai'i jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a two-run home run by Ah Yat in the second. The blast scored
Bailey Nagasako who drew a walk to start the inning.
UC Davis responded with a solo home run by Naomi Kalanetra that cut UH's lead in half in the bottom of the second.
In the top of the fourth, back-to-back RBI triples by Ah Yat and Kayara Tuiloma plus a two-out RBI-single by
Carys Murakami extended UH's lead to 5-1.
Hawai'i added four runs in the top of the seventh. Murakami and
Maycen Gibbs led off with consecutive singles to start the frame.
Jamie McGaughey then drilled a double to centerfield to drive in both Murakami and Gibbs.
Kolbi Kochi followed with an RBI-single to right-centerfield to score pinch runner
Kennedy Thompson. Ah Yat then drove in pinch runner
Abby Sasaki from second for her career-high fourth RBI of the game that extend UH's lead to 9-1.
UC Davis used three pitchers on the afternoon. Starter Caroline Grimes (7-8, 1-2 BW) took the loss, throwing 3.0 innings. She allowed 5 runs on five hits with two walks and a strikeout. Ashley Sawai threw the next three innings, allowing three runs on four hits with a wal and three strikeouts, and Ellena Edison threw the final frame giving up a run on two hits.
Next up, the Rainbow Wahine will take on Cal State Fullerton in a three-game conference series starting with a doubleheader on Friday, March 13
th at 4:00 p.n. HT and ending with a single game on Saturday, March 14
th at 1:00 p.m. HT.
