HONOLULU – The Hawai'i football team announced a single-game match-up with Sacramento State set for Nov. 28, 2026 at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
The game against the Hornets replaces the front end of a home-and-home series with UMass that was originally scheduled for that day. UH will also now seek to find a replacement opponent for the 2027 season opener initially scheduled for Aug. 28 against UMass.
Hawai'i and Sacramento State have never met on the football field. The Hornets will be in their first year as an FBS program in 2026 as members of the Mid-American Conference.
Other nonconference match-ups on UH's schedule in 2026 include games at Stanford (Aug. 29), vs. New Mexico State (Sept. 12) and at Arizona State (Oct. 10). The Rainbow Warriors also recently announced the addition of another first-year FBS program to the schedule in North Dakota State, after the Mountain West added the Bison to the league earlier this month.
UH's 2027 nonconference includes home games vs. Northwestern State and UCLA, and a road game at New Mexico State.
