IRVINE, Calif. – The veteran Hawai'i baseball trio of
Elijah Ickes,
Isaiah Magdaleno and
Ben Zeigler-Namoa earned preseason All-Big West recognition ahead of the 2026 season, the league announced Thursday.
The Rainbow Warriors are the only team to land three players on the 11-man preseason all-league team, with three other schools earning two recognitions each. UH was also picked to finish in a tie for fourth place in the league, behind UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly and UC Irvine, and tied with Cal State Fullerton.
All three have earned postseason All-Big West honors at some point in their careers, with Magdaleno securing a first-team spot last season and Zeigler-Namoa landing on the second team in 2025. Ickes was an honorable mention all-conference selection as a freshman in 2024.
Hawai'i opens its season next Friday, Feb. 13 with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against Gonzaga at Les Murakami Stadium. Season and single-game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online
