FIRST SERVE
  • BYU leads the all-time series 42-25 however UH has won five of the last six dating back to 2019.
  • The series is tied 15-15 in matches played in Honolulu, which includes an epic two-match series split in 2020 in a battle of the top two teams in the country. BYU easily won the opener and were on its way to another sweep in the rematch before UH mounted a memorable comeback to complete the reverse sweep. It ended up being the last matches played that year before the pandemic halted the season.
  • The teams met last season in Provo, Utah for a two-match series, which UH won both matches for its first-ever series sweep in Smith Fieldhouse.
  • The teams also met in the 2021 NCAA Championship match in Columbus, Ohio, which the Warriors won in straight sets to claim their first national title.
  • The series was added earlier this month after the cancellation of the NIL Tournament, which UH was scheduled to participate Feb. 19 & 20 in Anaheim along with UCLA, USC, and Long Beach State.
  • Hawai'i (12-1) is coming off a dominant two-match sweep of Stanford in Stanford, Calif., in which the Warriors won all six sets by eight points or more.
  • BYU (13-2) has won its last nine matches after suffering consecutive losses to UC Irvine in Provo last month.
  • UH is 12-1 or better through its first 13 matches of the season for the fourth consecutive year.
  • Hawai'i has a combined record of 207-229 (.475) against current members of the MPSF. UH was a member of the MPSF for 25 seasons from 1993-2017.
  • Since leaving the MPSF, UH has a 34-7 record vs. MPSF teams since 2018.
  • The Warriors are scheduled to play MPSF teams Pepperdine and UCLA over the next two weeks.
