SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (3-4, 1-0 Big West) fell to San Diego State, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center. The Rainbow Wahine concluded their first road trip of the season with a 1–2 record.

The Aztecs set the tone early and maintained control throughout the match. Hawai'i's No. 1 doubles pair of Grete Gull and Sophie Rachor fell 6–0 to Jo-Yee Chan and Vessa Turely, while the No. 2 duo of Makeilah Nepomuceno and Hannah Galindo was defeated 6–1 by Jayna Clemens and Ninon Martinache, to claim the doubles point for SDSU.

In singles play, the Aztecs captured the first three completed matches to clinch the team victory. Gull fought through a competitive opening set against the Aztecs' Chan and had built a 4–2 lead in the second before the match was clinched.

The Rainbow Wahine return home to host Long Beach State in a conference matchup on Saturday, Feb. 28. First serve is set for 11 a.m. HT at the UH Tennis Complex.
