To kick off Media Day, he Mountain West officially revealed its 2026-27 preseason predicted order of finish with Hawai'i selected sixth overall, collecting 99 points. New Mexico took the top spot in the poll with 179 points (9 first-place votes), edging out Grand Canyon, which finished second with 178 points (10 first-place votes).
Represented by Cuff and Kerr, the Rainbow Warriors bring strong leadership to a talented squad that boasts 13 newcomers. After claiming the league crown in its 14th and final season in the Big West, UH now competes in the deep and highly competitive Mountain West conference.
