LOS ANGELES, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i men's and women's diving team wrapped up competition in the Bruin Diving Invitational at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, Calif..
The Rainbow Warriors were led by
Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo who finished sixth in the 1-meter springboard with a final score of 574.25. Ramirez Tamayo's fourth dive--a back, 2-1/2 somersault tuck earned him his highest score of the six-dive final with a 58.50.
Oliver Wignall finished in 11th place with a score of 518.00.
Ruby icron was the lone Rainbow Wahine to qualify for the women's platform finals. She finished in 12th place posting a score of 432.45. Piickron's highest score came on her second of five dives. Her inward 2-1/2 somersault tuck garnered her a score of 48.60.
The Hawai'i swimming and diving teams will have a ,month to prepare for the Big West Championships which run from February 11-14 in Houston, Texas.
