HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i head women's golf coach
Julie Brooks announced the signing of Jasmine Wong, a transfer from Gonzaga University, who will join the program for the 2025-26 season.
"Jasmine is a wonderful addition to our team," Brooks said. "She is a great player and will add depth to an already deep team. She knows how to win and will bring a lot of experience to the team. We have a great schedule for next season and I am excited to see everyone competing at a high level."
Wong played in five tournaments for the Zags during her lone season in Spokane, Wash. She sported a 74.29 scoring average with four rounds of par or better including two rounds of 4-under 68. Her best finish was a tie for 14
th place at the Leadership and Golf Invitational where she carded 1-over 217. Wong also shot 2-over 218 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Club, where she shot a final round 68 and tied for 28
th place.
Last summer Wong captured the women's division title of the Mānoa Cup, the state's amateur match-play championship tournament. She is a 2024 graduate of 'Iolani School in Honolulu where she became the school's first individual state champion during her senior year. She was also a two-time Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion and four-time all-ILH honoree.
In addition, Wong was the 2023 HSJGA Kauai Junior champion, Maui Junior champion, and HSJGA State Junior Open Champion. She qualified for the 2024 USGA Women's Four-ball and Notah Begay III National Championship. The two-time qualifier for the IMG Junior Championship, was the California Junior Golf Tour Player of the Year in 2018 and the Michelle Wie Tournament of Champions Winner in 2019.
