HONOLULU – Sitting in third place in the Big West at the midway point of the season, Hawai'i opens a two-week, eight-game road trip with a nonconference game at Santa Clara Tuesday.
The Rainbow Warriors will be on the road for 14 days and play games in four different cities throughout California. UH owns a 20-12 advantage in the all-time series against the Broncos, winning last year's meeting in Santa Clara, 9-3.

7-8-9 IS 'BOW WARRIOR TIME
Hawai'i has made a habit of winning the final three innings throughout its 22-8 start to the season. The Rainbow Warriors are outscoring teams 71-41 in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings, highlighted by a 26-6 advantage in the ninth inning. Additionally, UH is 16-0 when leading after the sixth inning and has won six games when tied or trailing heading into the final three frames.

RAISING THE STANDARD

Rich Hill has raised the standard of the program since arriving in 2022. The Rainbow Warriors have turned into one of the most successful programs in the west, owning the sixth best record among teams in the region over the last four seasons. The Rainbow Warriors have also posted three consecutive winning seasons under Hill - their first three over .500 finishes since joining the Big West in 2012. UH has finished in the top five of the conference each of the last three seasons, including third-place finishes in 2022 and 2024.

COMING UP CLUTCH
The Rainbow Warriors have come through in clutch situations so far in 2025, putting up strong numbers with two outs and with runners in scoring position. UH has scored 46.3 percent (102-of-220) of its runs with two gone in an inning while hitting .342 as a team with two outs. The 'Bows are also batting .365 with runners in scoring position, 63 points higher than their overall team batting average.
TROPICAL SWARM
After leading the nation in ERA a season ago, the Hawai'i pitching staff is again among the nation's best in 2025. UH is second in the Big West and is 13th nationally with a 3.75 ERA while ranking in the top 15 nationally in WHIP (10th), walks allowed per nine innings (6th) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (14th). The Rainbow Warriors' pitching depth has also been on display early on, as 12 different arms have made at least seven appearances while 12 different pitchers have gotten a win.
