Ana Vilcek earned her third career Big West Player of the Week honor after going 2-0 on the No. 1 Court against No. 51 Cal Poly and No. 50 UC Santa Barbara. Vilcek's week was highlighted by recording the biggest upset of her four-year UH career,, defeating UCSB's10th-ranked player in the nation on Saturday.
In singles action, the senior from Pancevo, Serbia, opened the week on Wednesday, March 26th by nearly shutting out 50th-ranked Cal Poly's Kennedy Buntrock, 6-1, 6-0.
On Hawai'i's Senior Day vs. UC Santa Barbara, Vilceck, UH's lone four-year senior, came through with the biggest win of her career, upending 10th-ranked Amelia Honoer in a hard fought match that ended in a third set, super tie-breaker, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8). Vilcek snapped Honer's five-match win streak.

Nikola Homolkova fell by a break in both matches at No. 2.
Vilcek has won five of her last six singles matches--including the last three-straight all against ranked teams (#59 Long Beach State, #51 Cal Poly and #50 UC Santa Barbara. Vilcek leads UH with an overall dual match record of 8-3 and conference record of 6-1.
